Back in October, Pend Oreille Arts Council was thrilled to announce its first full season of live performances since the COVID pandemic cut their 2019-2020 season short. The 2021-2022 season continues with Missoula Children’s Theatre production of Rumpelstiltskin taking the stage this month!

“A strange little gnome appears from here, there and everywhere. He will spin your straw into gold … for a price. If his price is too steep, you must guess his name … Rumpelstiltskin!” Scheduled for Saturday, April 23, join the Missoula Children's Theatre and more than 50 local children of all ages as they bring to life this lively fairy tale. An original musical adaptation, Rumpelstiltskin is sure to please audiences of all ages.

Choose to attend the 1pm showing or 4pm showing, both held on Saturday, April 23. Tickets are priced $5 for youth and $15 for adults, and can be purchased online at ArtinSandpoint.org/performing-arts.

POAC’s 2021-2022 Performing Arts Series season concludes next month on Thursday, May 19, with the exciting jazz quartet, Brubeck Brothers Quartet. The quartet features the talented sons of the legendary jazz musician Dave Brubeck, Dan Brubeck on drums and Chris Brubeck on bass and trombone, carrying on the family name of one of America’s most accomplished musical families. The brothers are joined by musicians Mike DeMicco on guitar and Chuck Lamb on piano.

The show begins at 7:30pm. All tickets for the show are $27 and can be purchase online at ArtinSandpoint.org/performing-arts.

Show your support to the Pend Oreille Arts Council and the arts in Sandpoint by attending one of these upcoming performances. Both performances take place onstage at the Historical Panida Theater, 300 North 1st Avenue in Sandpoint.

The Pend Oreille Arts Council exists to facilitate quality experiences in the arts through educational programs and presentations that benefit the people of North Idaho.
